Cabinet Maker

Sweetwood Custom Cabinets is looking for a cabinet maker to work in our custom cabinet shop. This job mostly involves supporting CNC and Edgebander operators, but applicants may be asked to help with other parts of the operation so having a working knowledge of other industry standard equipment such as Edgebanders, slider saws, sanders, nail guns, clamps, drills and alike is also helpful. Applicants will need to have some knowledge of how cabinetry is built as well as some knowledge of materials used in cabinet manufacturing but this is an entry level position and we are willing to train.

Helpful skills:

• Knowledge of how to operate a CNC router
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Ability to read plans
• Good math and reasoning skills
• Ability to solve problems without taking shortcuts
• Ability to identify different wood species and building materials
