Cabinet Maker
Description
Construct and assemble cabinet components, making sure that all pieces fit the dimensions specified by the foreman and client.
- Verify and double check all calculations to ensure alignment of doors, hinges, and side panels, always using blueprints or design plans for reference.
- Clean and report any repairs needed for all equipment necessary for work.
- Be exact in measurements and markings so that materials will be used efficiently, and the projects will meet budgetary restrictions.
- Install the appropriate hardware and make known to office personnel to order replacement materials when needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Inspecting each item to ensure that it has been constructed accurately, and that the necessary finishes have been applied.
- Wearing the proper attire when needed and taking necessary precautions to remain safe.
- Assist in receiving/inspecting deliveries and inform office personnel of any issues that need attention.
- Assist in loading/unloading of products/installation tools at Shop and Jobsites when needed.
- Assist in installation of cabinetry when needed.
- Helping others to achieve and maintain the highest quality standards.
- Encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines without sacrificing workmanship.
- Physical fitness, including ease of movement and the capacity to lift up to 75 pounds.
