Shop Manager — Custom Millwork & Cabinetry (San Gabriel Valley)
Custom millwork and finish carpentry company serving the Los Angeles luxury residential market is seeking an experienced Shop Manager to run day-to-day operations in our fabrication facility.
We build high-end cabinetry and architectural millwork for custom homes designed by leading LA architects.
The work is demanding, the tolerances are tight, and the finish standard is high. We're looking for someone who takes ownership of the floor and keeps projects moving.
What you'll do
Manage daily shop operations, workflow, and production sequencing
Coordinate multiple project schedules and delivery timelines simultaneously
Monitor and maintain material and supply inventory; flag reorders before they become delays
Review shop drawings and create shop drawings / cut lists for accuracy before material is committed
Perform site measures and field verification as needed
Direct and support shop personnel; hold the crew to quality and safety standards

What you need

Deep working knowledge of high-end custom cabinetry and architectural millwork — face frame, frameless, and flush inset construction, plus casework, paneling, and trim
Proficiency in Cabinet Vision (drawing and creating cut lists, assembly sheets, and elevations)
Fluent in both Spanish and English, spoken and written
Highly organized and detail-oriented; comfortable tracking many moving parts at once
Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and millwork shop drawings
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for site visits
