Cabinetry Finisher – Spray Painter & Stain Special

Description

We are a premier custom cabinet manufacturer seeking an experienced Cabinetry Finisher specializing in wood staining, glaze application, and spray painting. Note: This is a shop-based spray finishing/coating position, NOT a finish/trim carpentry position.

We are looking for a reliable, skilled technician who takes pride in producing defect-free custom wood finishes. This role offers competitive pay and an opportunity to grow into a Lead Finisher position. Compensation is based upon experience within the industry.

Work Environment & Schedule

  • Hours: Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (10-hour shifts)
  • Overtime: Mandatory Friday overtime required as needed to meet production schedules
  • Environment: Active manufacturing facility finishing department without climate control (exposure to heat/cold; space heaters and fans utilized)
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate HVLP spray equipment to apply high-quality paint, stain, and glazed finishes to custom cabinets
  • Perform surface prep, detail sanding, color-matching, and quality inspection
  • Learn, set up, run, and clean/maintain our Makor flatline finishing system
  • Use digital tablets and QR scanners to track parts and update project statuses in our ERP system
  • Help train team members in proper sanding, painting, and staining techniques
Qualifications & Physical Requirements
  • Experience: 1+ years of wood finishing, spray booth, or manufacturing paint experience
  • Technical Skills: Experience with HVLP spray guns, familiarity with European 32-mm cabinetry standards, and solid mechanical aptitude
  • Digital Literacy: Ability to navigate workplace software on mobile tablets/computers for tracking and communication
  • Physical Capabilities: Able to stand/walk for 10-hour shifts, lift up to 50 lbs, stoop/crouch for machine maintenance, and possess strong color vision for stain matching
  • Reliability: Strong work ethic, punctual, and dependable—frequent absenteeism and tardiness are not tolerated. Must have a strong command of the English language.
