CAD Drafter Designer – Commercial Construction

North Austin, Texas | Full-Time | In-Office Position

We are hiring an experienced | CAD Drafter / Designer | to join a highly respected fire and life-safety services firm in North Austin.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with MIN two to four years of CAD drafting experience | who understands the demands of vertical, ground-up commercial construction. The selected candidate will help design fire alarm systems installed throughout commercial construction projects.

Ideal Experience

• Two to four years of professional CAD drafting experience In Commercial Construction ground up work
• Commercial ground-up construction experience
• Drafting experience with a general contractor or subcontractor
• Familiarity with MEP, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or fire-protection systems
• Piping or plumbing drafting experience is especially desirable
• Ability to read and interpret commercial construction drawings and specifications
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills

Fire alarm design experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right person in fire alarm systems; however, candidates must already possess a solid understanding of | commercial ground-up construction and CAD drafting | .
