Car Wash Attendant / Maintenance Technician
Description
Car Wash Attendant / Maintenance Technician
Part-Time / Full-Time, Multi-Site
Locations Reno-Sparks, NV
Schedule Part-time, 30hrs/week, including weekend availability
Pay $20–$25/hour, depending on experience
Keep the machines running. Keep the cars shining. Get paid well for both.
We're a locally owned, multi-site car wash group in Reno-Sparks, and we're looking for someone who can do double duty: greet customers and run a great wash line one hour, then troubleshoot a solenoid valve or a chemical pump the next. If you like variety, want to actually learn how equipment works instead of just clocking in, and don't mind getting your hands dirty, this is a good fit.
What You'll Do
Attendant side (roughly half your time):
- Greet guests, guide vehicles into the wash, and explain wash packages as needed
- Perform quality checks on finished vehicles and handle re-washe
- Keep the wash bays, vacuum bays, and guest areas clean, stocked, and presentable
- Represent the site professionally — you're often the only face a customer sees
- Perform routine equipment inspections and preventive maintenance per site SOPs
- Handle minor repairs on wash equipment (pumps, dryers, arches, conveyors, vacuums)
- Monitor and refill chemical dilution systems; follow proper handling and spill procedures
- Log completed work, inspections, and open issues in our maintenance system (MaintainX)
- Do basic troubleshooting on electrical, plumbing, and mechanical issues before escalating
- Travel between our three sites as needed to cover maintenance calls or staffing gaps
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Comfortable with hand tools and mechanically inclined with a history in mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, etc
- Maintenance, facilities, or car wash experience is a plus but not required
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in Reno's full range of weather
- Available at least one weekend day per week may be needed
- Reliable, self-directed, and comfortable working solo for stretches of a shift
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- $20–$25/hour depending on experience
- Real cross-training in both customer-facing operations and hands-on equipment maintenance — valuable, transferable skills
- A small, owner-operated company where you're not just a number
- Free washes
- Real maintenance tracking system (MaintainX)
- Room to grow as our portfolio expands
- Fulltime available for the right candidate
Standing and walking for the full shift; frequent bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs; regular outdoor work in heat, cold, and wet conditions; occasional work in wash pits or confined equipment spaces.
