Deck Builders / Carpenters Wanted – 4–6 Week Project (Jersey City, NJ)

Temporary Work | Immediate Start | Manhattan Yacht Club

Manhattan Yacht Club is seeking experienced deck builders / carpenters for a 4–6 week construction project at our clubhouse in Jersey City.

We are building new outdoor deck areas and are looking for individuals who are comfortable working with wood framing, tools, and basic construction techniques.

Scope of Work

Installing Sonotube footings with concrete
Basic framing and structural layout

Building:

One elevated deck
One ground-level deck
Constructing a small roof structure with tin roofing
General carpentry and job site work

Skills & Experience Required

Experience with deck building or framing carpentry
Comfortable using:
Circular saws
Cordless drills / impact drivers
Ability to read basic layouts and work efficiently
Strong work ethic and attention to detail

Pay

Competitive / market rate (based on experience)
(Open to discussing rate depending on skill level)

Schedule

Duration: 4–6 weeks
Days: Monday through Friday
Full-time or part-time positions available
