If you're an experienced carpenter/framer who's tired of building the same house over and over, this may be a better fit.
We're looking for a carpenter/framer to join an established crew building high-end, one-of-a-kind custom waterfront homes in the St. Petersburg area. These are substantial custom projects — not production housing or multifamily work.
PAY:
Starting around $25/hour, depending on experience and ability. Higher pay is available for a particularly well-qualified carpenter.
STEADY, LOCAL SCHEDULE:
Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM, approximately 40 hours per week. Local work with no overnight travel.
A CREW PEOPLE STAY WITH:
This is a small, experienced team that works well together and treats people professionally. One of our foremen has been with the company for approximately 20 years and another for nearly 30. We expect people to work hard and do quality work, but we also believe the jobsite should be a place where people are treated with respect.
THE WORK:
You'll perform hands-on rough wood framing on high-end custom single-family homes. The work varies from project to project and gives an experienced carpenter the opportunity to use their skills on challenging custom construction. The photos in this ad show examples of the type of homes we work on.
EXPERIENCE:
Approximately 2 years of new-construction carpentry/framing experience is preferred, but demonstrated ability is more important than an exact number of years. Framers coming from production or multifamily construction are welcome to apply.
TOOLS & TRANSPORTATION:
You should have your own carpenter's hand tools, circular saw, reliable transportation and a valid driver's license. We provide electric power, compressed air, nail guns and stationary saws.
SPANISH-SPEAKING CARPENTERS ARE WELCOME:
English fluency is not required. One of our foremen is fully bilingual.
