Description:

The Carpenter Helper/Apprentice assists experienced carpenters with residential remodeling projects while developing the skills needed to become a lead carpenter. This entry-level position is ideal for someone eager to learn the construction trade through hands-on experience and mentorship. Work includes demolition, framing, finish carpentry, job site preparation, and general labor while maintaining a safe and professional work environment.

Responsibilities:

Assist lead carpenters with all phases of residential remodeling.
Prepare and maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites.
Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment.
Perform demolition while protecting existing finishes and structures.
Assist with framing, siding, decking, drywall, insulation, flooring, cabinetry, trim, doors, windows, and other carpentry tasks.
Measure, cut, and install materials under supervision.
Operate hand and power tools safely and properly.
Follow construction plans, drawings, and verbal instructions.
Perform material pickups and deliveries as needed.
Communicate professionally with homeowners, subcontractors, and team members.
Maintain company tools, vehicles, and equipment.
Follow all OSHA, company safety policies, and job site procedures.
Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:

Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and a good driving record.
Must be authorized to work in the United States and be able to provide documents to support it.
Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening. We are a second chance employer and a conviction may not necessarily bar you from employment with us.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds repeatedly.
Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Basic math and measuring skills.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.

Preferred:
0–2 years of construction or remodeling experience.
Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
