CARPENTER – HIGH-END CUSTOM RESIDENTIAL

Mercer Builders is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our team building and remodeling high-end custom homes throughout the Seattle and Eastside area.

This is a hands-on position for a well-rounded carpenter who takes pride in quality craftsmanship and is comfortable working across different phases of residential construction, from framing and general carpentry through detailed finish work.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform rough, general, and finish carpentry on custom residential projects
  • Read and work from architectural plans and construction drawings
  • Complete work accurately, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality
  • Coordinate effectively with superintendents, project managers, coworkers, and other trades
  • Adapt to the conditions and challenges of both new construction and remodel work
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Represent Mercer Builders professionally
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum five years of carpentry experience on high-end custom homes or comparable residential projects
  • Strong experience with both framing and finish carpentry
  • Ability to read plans, take accurate measurements, and work independently
  • Thorough knowledge of residential construction methods, tools, and materials
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Dependable, professional, and able to work well as part of a project team
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of construction work, including lifting 50 pounds, climbing, bending, kneeling, and working in varying jobsite conditions
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel between Seattle/Eastside jobsites
POSITION DETAILS

  • Full-time, hourly, non-exempt position
  • Typical schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m., with flexibility based on project needs
  • Pay: competitive market rate, depending on experience and qualifications
  • Weekly payroll via direct deposit
  • Year-round work on distinctive custom residential projects
