Window Woman of New England is growing and seeking an experienced carpenter who takes pride in careful, high-quality craftsmanship.

We restore and preserve historic wooden windows in some of New England’s most beautiful homes, churches, museums, and public buildings. Our projects combine traditional carpentry, woodworking, problem-solving, painting, glazing, and historic preservation.

Experience restoring windows is not required, we will teach you our specialized restoration methods. However, applicants should have professional carpentry, woodworking, remodeling, cabinetmaking, or similar hands-on trade experience.

What You’ll Do

  • Repair and restore historic wooden windows
  • Complete detailed wood repairs and component replacements
  • Measure, cut, fit, and assemble wooden parts
  • Replace glass and glazing
  • Prepare surfaces and apply finishes
  • Diagnose problems and develop practical repair solutions
  • Work in our Amesbury workshop and at customer properties
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
What We’re Looking For

  • Professional carpentry or woodworking experience
  • Strong working knowledge of hand and power tools
  • Ability to measure accurately and perform detailed finish work
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Exceptional time management, experience in estimating a plus
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or with a crew
  • Pride in producing durable, high-quality work
  • Interest in historic buildings and traditional craftsmanship
What We Offer

  • Full-time, year-round employment
  • Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
  • Starting pay of $28/hour or more, based on experience
