Carpenter

Troy M. Jessee Construction, LP, is offering a rewarding position of carpenter to a qualified and experienced person with background in residential / commercial carpentry. Safety practices will be expected.
Must have:

• At least one year experience with carpentry and installing casework, cabinetry, doors, door hardware, windows, wood trim, miscellaneous framing, metal stud work, acoustical ceilings, and drywall.
• Personal hand tools; hammers, chisels, hand saws, screwdrivers, measuring tapes and levels, and be able to use them.
• Reliable transportation.

Must be able to:

• Read plans, order material, install trim, and general carpentry skills all required.
• Meet time schedules.
• Use power tools; electric/battery drills, power saws, routers, sanders, planers, laser leveling devices, pneumatic tools-nail guns.
• Follow written and verbal instructions in this ad and follow instructions from Superintendent on the job.
• Physically stand, kneel, bend and work with overhead positions and knee walls, work at heights on ladders, scaffolding, and roofs, plus handle heavy building products, work in attics, basements, and crawlspaces; all duties pertaining to a carpenter.

A valid driver license and clean driving record is mandatory, with no more than two moving violations, no at-fault accidents, no DUI's or felony convictions and be 21 years of age. Criminal background check and drug screen may be necessary.
Full-time position; Monday through Friday and some weekends. Work is mostly in and surrounding San Antonio. Out-of-town work is occasional. Overtime is often assigned. Compensation will depend on skill level to include experience and knowledge of profession and past work history. Certain specific holidays paid.
