TruBlue Home Service Ally of Western DuPage is hiring an experienced Carpenter/Remodeler to join our growing team. We are looking for a dependable, well-rounded professional who takes pride in quality workmanship and can complete residential remodeling and repair projects with limited supervision.

Our work includes bathroom and kitchen remodeling, carpentry, flooring, drywall, painting, and accessibility modifications throughout DuPage County and the surrounding western suburbs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform rough and finish carpentry
  • Frame walls, closets, soffits, and door openings
  • Install doors, windows, cabinets, trim, baseboards, crown molding, and hardware
  • Assist with complete bathroom and kitchen remodels
  • Install tile, LVP, laminate, and other flooring
  • Hang, finish, and repair drywall
  • Complete interior painting and finishing work
  • Perform demolition and jobsite preparation
  • Complete basic plumbing and electrical work within your skill level
  • Install grab bars, railings, ramps, and other accessibility products
  • Read project scopes, drawings, and measurements
  • Prepare accurate material and supply lists
  • Troubleshoot jobsite issues and recommend practical solutions
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Take before, progress, and after photographs
  • Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers
  • Protect customers’ homes and belongings throughout each project
Qualifications

  • At least three years of residential carpentry or remodeling experience
  • Experience with framing, finish carpentry, drywall, flooring, and painting
  • Ability to complete common remodeling tasks independently
  • Strong measuring, cutting, layout, and installation skills
  • Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, ladders, and jobsite equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
  • Dependable, punctual, organized, and professional
  • Good communication and customer-service skills
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Ability to pass a background check

  • Bathroom and kitchen remodeling
  • Tile and waterproofing systems
  • Cabinet and countertop installation
  • Door widening and accessibility modifications
  • Basic residential plumbing and electrical work
  • Aging-in-place or ADA-related remodeling
  • Experience working in occupied homes

Schedule and Service Area

This is a full-time, Monday-through-Friday position. Occasional weekend work may be available. Projects are primarily located throughout DuPage County and the surrounding western suburbs.

The ideal candidate is a versatile carpenter and remodeler who can solve problems, work efficiently, communicate professionally, and consistently deliver high-quality results.
