Carpenter / Skilled Handyman – $28–$34/hr

Small licensed residential contractor looking for a reliable and skilled Carpenter / Skilled Handyman to assist with residential repairs, property maintenance and turnover work, custom outdoor enclosures, and other small construction projects throughout the Los Angeles area.

We are looking for someone with solid carpentry and general construction experience who takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, is comfortable working alongside the owner, works well with others, and can also work independently on assigned tasks.

We maintain a friendly, respectful work environment and are looking for someone who is dependable, easy to work with, and has a positive attitude.

Typical work may include:

• Basic carpentry and wood framing
• Measuring, cutting, and assembling wood structures
• Building custom outdoor and screened enclosures
• General home repairs, rental property maintenance, and turnover work
• Light remodeling and improvement projects
• Drywall repairs and patching
• Painting and finish work
• Trim, shelving, doors, screens, and hardware installation
• Jobsite setup and cleanup

You do not need to know every trade. We are primarily looking for someone with good general construction skills, mechanical ability, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.

Requirements:

• Previous construction, carpentry, handyman, or similar experience
• Comfortable using common hand and power tools
• Able to measure accurately and make precise cuts
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work with limited supervision
• Professional and respectful when working in customers' homes
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Employment is subject to a background check
• Able to safely lift and carry common construction materials and equipment

Schedule:

Hours will vary depending on project workload and will typically range from 16–40 hours per week. Hours are not guaranteed and may vary from week to week, with the potential for more consistent full-time work as workload increases.

Work is performed at various residential job sites throughout the Los Angeles area.

Compensation:

$28–$34 per hour, depending on experience and demonstrated skill. This is a W-2 employee position.
