JOB DESCRIPTION

We are a growing custom treehouse construction company looking to hire a versatile Carpenter/Fabricator to work primarily in our in-house wood shop, building treehouse components to precise specifications, with occasional field support on installs throughout the North Bay. Field work may occasionally require travel and overnight stays near the project site. The role calls for technical skill in both fine woodworking and residential-scale construction.

QUALIFICATIONS & DESIRED SKILLS

• At least 5-8 years of carpentry, fabrication, and/or finish carpentry experience
• Ability to read shop floor drawings
• An eye for detail and a desire to build to a high standard
• Ability to develop creative fabrication solutions supporting a highly innovative design team
• Working knowledge of standard woodworking tools: planer, jointer, table saw, band saw, router, drills, etc.
• Self-starter with the ability to both work independently and be a team player
• Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Time management and ability to self-prioritize workload
• Well organized with a positive, can-do attitude toward work and problem-solving
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and capability of lifting, twisting, turning, bending, and reaching
• Ability to work in the shop 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week, with flexibility for field days as needed
• Working knowledge of Slack a plus
• Ability to lead a plus but not a requirement
