Carpenter's Assistant/ General Laborer/ Water Mitigation Technician (R

Our family-owned, property restoration company is growing, and we have an excellent opportunity for a Carpenter's Assistant/ General Laborer/ Water Mitigation Technician to join our team. Full time available with an immediate start date.

Job Duties:

Responding to both emergency and non-emergency property damage situations
Monitoring water damage and moisture readings
Inspecting, evaluating, and documenting water damaged properties
Extracting water, removing mold, drying carpet, wall, sheetrock, and subfloors, removing sewage overflow, boarding up windows, and installing subfloor or framing
Containing exposed areas using plastic and sealing off needed areas
Completing paper documentation as required
Clean up worksites
Assist carpenters or painters, or other tradespeople on-site
Acquire, handle and transport materials/supplies and equipment
Load or unload construction materials
Use power tools when needed
Follow instructions from Leads to perform manual labor tasks
Ready to learn from on-the-job training when necessary
Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions
Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner
Experience & Skills

High school diploma or GED and a valid Driver’s License is required
IICRC certified an asset
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 60 pounds etc.)
Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
DOT medical card
Mitigation experience is a plus
Good hand-eye coordination
Familiarity with power tools is a plus
Communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to safety rules
