Carpenter's Assistant/General Laborer
Description
Our family-owned, property restoration company is growing, and we have an excellent opportunity for an entry-level Carpenter’s Assistant/General Laborer to join our team. No experience necessary, we are willing to train the right candidate. Full time available with an immediate start date.
Job Duties:
- Clean up worksites
- Assist carpenters or painters, or other tradespeople on-site
- Acquire, handle and transport materials/supplies and equipment
- Load or unload construction materials
- Assist with demolitions & mitigations
- Use power tools when needed
- Follow instructions from Leads to perform manual labor tasks
- Ready to learn from on-the-job training when necessary
- Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions
- Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner
- High school diploma, GED and/or Driver’s License is an asset, but not required
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 60 pounds etc.)
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
- CDL Strongly preferred
- Mitigation experience is a plus
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Familiarity with power tools is a plus
- Communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to safety rules
