The Carpenters Union has over 140 years of experience working together to prepare the next generation of carpenters by providing comprehensive training programs and outstanding pay for every stage of a carpenter's career.

We are looking for experienced craftsmen and complete beginners. We offer a PAID 4 year apprenticeship program with on the job training, and a complete benefits package, including healthcare and retirement plans.

Our Local partners with contractors that cover all of North Florida with most of our work being in Duval, Nassau, Baker, Alachua, Columbia, Clay, Putnam, and St. Johns counties. Applicants MUST be willing to travel to all of these counties for work. We work with multiple contractors across all these locations. Duties

· Assist with construction estimating, blueprint interpretation, and project planning to support accurate execution of tasks

· Perform form carpentry, frame carpentry, and metal stud framing to help build structures from the ground up

· Use of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively, for various fabrication and installation tasks

· Contribute to concrete forming, masonry work, and drywall installation to ensure quality craftsmanship

· Participate in heavy lifting activities and assist with scaffolding setup while maintaining strict safety standards

Requirements

· Demonstrated interest or experience in construction or related fields such as carpentry, masonry, or remodeling

· Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, schematics, blueprints or schematics reading skills preferred

· Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking on construction sites

· Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety protocols at all times

· Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn from experienced tradespeople

· Prior construction site experience or handyman experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates

· Valid driver’s license and your own transportation between job sites

· Valid Social Security card

· School transcripts (apprentice applicants only)
