Contract general contracting helper

Description

Carpenters, Remodelers & Skilled Helpers – Up to $45/hr (1099) – Professional Applicant Principals Only

We are expanding our general contracting, property management field service organization. We are building a reliable, professional team to handle steady inbound work (maintenance, repairs, remodels, property management) and to support upcoming fix-and-flip projects.

We are a small but growing multi-service pillar organization - we operate in 1. Real Estate Investing 2. General Contracting 3. Residential and Commercial Property Management fields.

We are looking for experienced carpenters, remodelers, generalists, and skilled helpers who take pride in their work, communicate professionally, and can represent a real operation on client sites.

You will be working directly with the owner and his sons, who has been working in the field since age 15. We run a tight, respectful, no-nonsense operations team focused on quality, reliability, and clean work.

You will have a professional demeanor, communication skills, and able to balance multiple projects at once – occasionally you will be asked go to one project in the morning, and another in the afternoon. As a company, we are usually at 3 to 4 jobs sites simultaneously. On most week, you will start with one assigned job site and finish the job at the same site before moving on to other sites. However. depending on the needs of the clients and the team, you may be asked to go to another site on the same day to provide coverage for emergencies, illnesses, family, client needs, weather, etc. It can be a long working day.

Professional communication and basic computer literacy is required because we rely heavily on computer based project tracking and messaging tools. We use Google Workspace, Smartsheet Kanban Board, and Slack. If you are not familiar with these tools, but willing to learn, we will show you how it use them.

We keep things organized. We start each week with a short team meeting (sometimes virtual) to review schedules and priorities. Each morning we do a quick check‑in to confirm progress, identify any issues, and make sure everyone knows their plan for the day.

Casual messages or commentary on rates or the job posting will not receive a response.
