Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit

The Administration & Finance Division encompasses a broad range of operational, financial, technological, safety, administrative and people-focused units that support the daily functions and long-term success of the university.

Campus Operations includes Facilities Engineering & Architectural Services, Facilities Services, and Housekeeping Services. Campus Operations is responsible for the support of all university real property including buildings, infrastructure, and grounds. Responsibilities on the university's Main, Health Sciences, and West Research Campuses, and satellite locations associated with ECU programs include major and minor renovations and construction; corrective and preventive maintenance and repairs by utilities services (controls, electrical, HVAC, life safety, plumbing, central steam and chilled water operations), building services (carpentry, locksmith, masonry, paint, roofing), and automotive services; maintenance of grounds by grounds services, recycling, refuse removal, sustainability; and moving services and housekeeping services support of academic, administrative, athletic, classroom, clinical, dining, laboratory, library, performing arts, and residence life spaces.

Building Services, a unit in Facilities Services responsible for carpentry, locksmith, masonry, paint, and roofing on the university's Main, Health Sciences, and West Research Campuses, and satellite locations.

Primary Purpose of Position

This position is responsible for providing lead oversight and direction for carpentry and roofing operations, coordinating work assignments and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established standards and specifications. Reporting to the Carpentry Supervisor, the position works collaboratively with all facilities staff, Director of Building Services, project managers, administrative staff, vendors, faculty, and staff to coordinate and support carpentry and roofing operation
