Description
Awalix, LLC is taking applications for Truck Drivers with Class A CDL for heavy hauling. This position consists of performing tasks involving operating a semi-truck and trailer, hauling heavy construction equipment, ADT haul truck, or dump truck at construction projects. The statements below are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities, and skills required of personnel so classified.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Transport heavy construction equipment and materials to and from projects both in Idaho and surrounding states.
- Tractor side dump trailer operation and end dump to haul dirt/rock on through town and on construction sites.
- Ability to determine the shortest route between the pickup location and drop off location of loads for the project. Shortest route is to incorporate legal routes for the size and weight of the vehicle.
- Ability to back a semi-tractor trailer combination as needed in order to dump loads or position for unloading or loading capabilities.
- Ability to drive a semi-tractor trailer combination within city limits that may have tight streets and access points.
- Hauling of dirt and waste materials to and from the project site.
- Hauling of equipment for mobilization and demobilization activities for the project.
- Experience in operating end dump, side dump and low boy trailers is a must.
- Knowledge of terrain requirements in order to dump a trailer and what ground conditions are needed to prevent tipping of the equipment during dumping operations.
- Be responsible for personal and project safety.
- Must be able to work independently or within a small team as necessary.
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds frequently in carrying out duties.
