CDL Highway Maintenance Technician

Description

DCS (DeAngelo Contracting Services) is hiring CDL Highway Maintenance Technicians to join our growing team. If you enjoy working outdoors, operating equipment, and taking pride in maintaining safe roadways, we'd like to hear from you.

This position performs a variety of highway and roadway maintenance duties while working closely with experienced team members. Responsibilities include roadway repairs, vegetation maintenance, storm cleanup, emergency response, sign repair, and other transportation maintenance activities.

Job Responsibilities

Perform highway and roadway maintenance activities
Operate highway maintenance equipment
Patch pavement and repair road shoulders
Clean and clear culverts and drainage systems
Mow roadsides and clear brush
Repair or replace roadway signs and fencing
Remove litter, debris, and storm damage
Assist with emergency response operations
Safely operate hand and power tools including:
Chainsaws
Pole saws
Weed eaters
Backpack blowers
Shovels, rakes, and brooms
Follow all company and safety procedures
Work outdoors in various weather conditions

Qualifications

Class B CDL required
Must be 18 years of age or older
Valid Georgia Driver's License
Minimum 5 years of clean driving history
High School Diploma or GED
Previous highway, roadway, construction, landscaping, or outdoor labor experience is preferred
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding work
Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work outdoors for extended periods
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
