CIVIL CONSTRUCTION PIPE SUPERINTENDENT

Bison Ridge Construction, LLC is seeking an experienced Civil Construction Pipe Superintendent with 5+ years’ experience with residential and commercial land development projects. We work in Northern Colorado, the Denver Metro area and southern Wyoming. The Pipe Superintendent will oversee 3 to 5 crews installing underground utilities including water, sewer, and storm systems. The Superintendent also needs to have experience with site layout, grading/earthwork, and punch list completion. This field-based position will work closely with the entire project team including clients, engineers, estimators/project managers, subcontractors and inspectors. Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee crews to ensure project is constructed according to the approved plans and within the project schedule
• Review project plans to ensure construction is completed according to specifications
• Review management of aggregate materials for the projects with Foremen to avoid shortages
• Review materials, equipment and supplies with Foremen to maintain highest productivity
• Confirm Foremen are scheduling testing and inspections as required to maintain workflow
• Confirm installation and maintenance of BMPs and erosion control
• Provide leadership and direction to crews while emphasizing safety, quality and production
• Work closely with Project Manager to verify the project scope, schedule and budget
• Attend construction progress meetings and scheduling meetings
• Conduct weekly meetings with Foremen to review schedule, production goals, and safety and get feedback from employees
• Ensure all employees comply with company safety procedures. Immediately correct and document any unsafe conditions.
• Administrative tasks including daily electronic time sheet entry, equipment logs, change orders, and uploading progress photographs
• Train and motivate employees
• Ensure all field personnel are using proper PPE and fall protection equipment
• May operate heavy equipment and assist with labor when needed
• Other tasks as assigned
• Availability to work weekends

Qualifications/Skills Required

• 5+ years’ experience with underground utility installation for residential and commercial land development
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 and basic First Aid training
• Able to read and understand plans and specifications
• Able to read and properly interpret survey grade stakes
• Able to perform material take-offs
• Able to supervise the work of others and clearly communicate instructions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of proper care, maintenance, and operation of equipment

Physical Requirements
Must be physically fit and able to perform job duties including: frequent use of hands, arms, legs and whole body; long periods of balance, standing or sitting; frequent walking, climbing, bending and/or lifting objects in excess of 50 pounds. Must be able to work in all weather conditions including very hot, cold and wet conditions.

Annual salary range $100,000 - $130,000 depending on experience.
