CLASS A CDL OTR DRIVER / MOVING PROFESSIONAL NEEDED

Full-Time | W-2 Position

Golden Movers is looking to hire an experienced Class A CDL over-the-road driver for our long-distance moving team.

We have a clean, well-maintained Penske lease tractor ready to hit the road. This is a working-driver position, so the right candidate must be comfortable driving interstate routes and assisting the crew with loading, unloading, wrapping, protecting, and handling customers’ household goods.

We are looking for someone dependable, honest, safety-focused, and professional, with a strong work ethic and a clean driving record.

Compensation and benefits

W-2 hourly compensation
$25–$31 per hour, including overtime
Daily per diem while traveling OTR
Paid holidays
Two weeks of paid time off after completing a 90-day probationary period

Final compensation will depend on Class A experience, OTR experience, moving-industry experience, and overall qualifications.

Typical travel schedule

Most trips last approximately 7–14 days
The average trip is about 10 days
Occasional trips may last up to 21 days
Three-week trips generally occur only a few times per year

Applicants must be comfortable with overnight and extended travel.

Responsibilities

Drive a Class A tractor-trailer on interstate and regional moving trips
Assist with loading and unloading household goods
Wrap, pad, and protect furniture and other belongings
Help with furniture disassembly and reassembly
Secure cargo properly for transportation
Complete required trip, vehicle, and delivery paperwork
Follow DOT regulations and company safety procedures
Communicate professionally with customers and team members
Maintain a clean, organized, and road-ready tractor and trailer
Requirements
Valid Class A CDL
Previous Class A tractor-trailer driving experience
Over-the-road experience strongly preferred
Clean and acceptable driving record
Dependable, honest, and strong work ethic
Ability to pass a background check, MVR review, and drug screening
Reliable transportation to and from work
Ability to lift and carry heavy household items
Willingness to assist with loading and unloading
Strong communication and customer-service skills
Moving-company experience preferred but not required

The first interview will be a brief 5-to-10-minute virtual video screening.

Qualified applicants will then be considered for an in-person interview with our Operations Manager.
