Class A Dump Truck Driver with tanker endorsments:

Pay:
$27 - $30 per hour, depending on experience

Schedule:

Full-time. Day shift. Monday through Friday, with early start times and occasional Saturday/Sunday work as needed. Local Southern California work. Home daily.

Job Description:

This is a working driver position. When loads are moving, you are driving. When the truck is waiting, you help the crew with normal job-site tasks so the day keeps moving. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working as part of a paving/seal crew.

Our drivers haul construction materials, move between active job sites, and may pull equipment trailers/tag trailers with construction equipment. The right person can handle the truck, secure equipment correctly, communicate clearly with the crew, and take pride in keeping the day organized.

Responsibilities:

• Drive Class A dump trucks for paving, grading, construction, and material hauling.
• Haul asphalt, aggregate, base, sealcoat, spoils, tools, and job-site materials.
• Pull equipment trailers/tag trailers with construction equipment when needed.
• Load, chain, bind, strap, and secure equipment and materials safely.
• Work on the paving crew between hauls or equipment moves with normal job-site tasks.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Follow DOT, job-site, traffic, and company safety rules.
• Keep load tickets, dump tickets, fuel receipts, logs, and time records accurate.
• Communicate clearly with foremen, dispatch, yard staff, and crew members.
• Help keep trucks, trailers, and equipment clean, organized, and ready for work.

Requirements:

• Valid California Class A CDL.
• Current DOT medical card.
• Clean and acceptable driving record.
• Must be able to pass required pre-employment drug/alcohol screening.
• Experience driving dump trucks, tankers, transfer trucks, bottom dumps, Super 10s, or similar construction trucks preferred.
• Experience pulling equipment trailers and securing construction equipment is strongly preferred.
• Able to work early mornings and drive local Southern California routes/job sites.
• Able to climb in and out of trucks/trailers, inspect equipment, handle chains/binders/straps, and work safely around active construction sites.
• Comfortable getting out of the truck and working with the crew when the driving work pauses.
• Reliable, punctual, safety-minded, and able to follow directions.

Preferred Experience:

• 2+ years of CDL driving experience.
• Dump truck or construction hauling experience.
• Equipment trailer, tanker, tag trailer, lowboy, tilt trailer, transfer, bottom dump, or heavy-equipment hauling experience.
• Asphalt, paving, grading, demolition, aggregate, or construction-site experience.
