Autobody Journeyman

Description

We absolutely want YOU to grow with our expanding high-end automotive restoration shop! We are seeking a knowledgeable journeyman level autobody technician with at least 5 years of verifiable experience to join our growing team! You will be restoring classic vehicles to better than factory specs in our very busy shop that is filled with high quality builds. We have multiple shops full of laid back techs who show up to finely finish high caliber vehicles while leaving their egos at home.

This is not an entry level opportunity. We are seeking an experienced professional who can understand the desired outcome, develop an appropriate plan of action and can execute without instruction to a very high standard. The ideal candidate has extensive autobody experience and understands that exceptional paintwork starts with exceptional preparation. Previous experience with automotive restoration focused on high-end, custom vehicles, vintage vehicles and hot rods is highly valued.

Our Ideal Candidate:

Demonstrable knowledge of sheet metal pulling, straightening, shrinking and stud welding.

Understands large area fiberglass, bondo and glazing filler application.

Strong ability to block sand primer without burning through the primer layer.

Has the patience and ability to train other techs in the shop.

Possesses a very high attention to detail that sees and feels imperfections others may not.

Must be reliable and able to consistently show up ready to make high quality panels happen!

Self-starter with the ability to manage time and workflow.

Must take pride in creating something special while maintaining a clean work space.

Experience working in an environment where panel gaps, body lines, and final presentation are held to a very high standard.

Accepts feedback professionally and is willing to correct work when necessary.

Communicates potential problems before they affect later stages of finishing.

Can take detailed photos of each step to document the process of the restoration.

Has a strong desire to create vehicles that represent some of the highest standards in the automotive restoration industry.

If you can also weld, replace spot welded body panels, fabricate patch panels, spray primer and paint, assemble highly finished body parts without damage, mask, color sand, cut and buff, you will be considered first!

What we offer you:

$25.00 to $45.00 per hour.

PTO begins as soon as you start with us.

Laid back work environment.

We have plenty of work to keep you consistently making money!

Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour
