Classic Truck Restoration Technician
Description
Hesterations is looking for an experienced and dependable Classic Truck Restoration Technician to join our shop.
We specialize in the restoration, rebuilding, and customization of classic Chevrolet, GMC, and GM trucks, including mechanical restoration, upgrades, restomods, and complete custom builds.
We’re looking for someone who knows their way around a vehicle, takes pride in their work, and understands that classic restoration requires attention to detail and problem-solving. You must be able to follow direction while also working independently and taking ownership of assigned work.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Disassembly and reassembly of classic trucks
- Suspension, steering, brakes, drivetrain, and general mechanical work
- Engine and transmission removal/installation
- Installing aftermarket and custom components
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
- Modification, fitment, and basic fabrication
- Assisting with restorations, restomods, and custom builds
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area
- Minimum 2 years hands-on automotive experience
- Strong mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills
- Ability to follow direction and work independently
- Dependable, punctual, and productive
- Attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Must have basic hand tools
- Classic vehicle/restoration experience preferred
You don’t need to know everything, but you do need solid automotive experience, a willingness to learn, and the ability to see a job through.
PAY: Depends on experience and skill level.
