CMC Machine Operator

Prepare Materials for use on machines by cutting shaping or drilling
Install cutting tools, position work pieces on the machine, adjust settings and controls, and verify accuracy of finished work
Operate lathes to turn and rotate metal using tools and computer-assisted controls
Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process
Check all dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications
Performing routine maintenance tasks to keep equipment running smoothly
Trouble shoot and solve manufacturing issues on the shop floor
Adapt to changes in the work environment and the ability to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous tasks
