Description
CNC Machinists needed for long term contract in the Seattle area
1.independently perform complex multi-axis 3 4 and 5-axis setups on Haas and Fanuc CNC machining centers for low-volume/high-mix or production runs. This includes selecting specialized tooling establishing work coordinate systems offsets and securing complex workpieces.
2.interpret highly complex engineering drawings blueprints and solid models. Apply an expert understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing gd&t to ensure parts meet exact specifications.
3.conduct test runs perform trial cuts and visually/dimensionally inspect sample workpieces. Complete comprehensive first article inspections fai using precision measuring instruments micrometers calipers height gauges bore gauges and shadow graphs/comparators.
4.monitor machining cycles and proactively adjust speeds feeds and tooling offsets to maintain tight tolerances improve surface finishes and maximize tool life.
5.diagnose complex machining issues structural programmatic errors and mechanical inconsistencies. Develop and implement rapid solutions to minimize downtime and optimize cycle times.
6.collaborate with the programming department to refine cam software outputs and resolve toolpath discrepancies.
7.partner with production leadership manufacturing engineering and quality control teams to identify and execute process improvements.
8.adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times including proper handling and operation of CNC machines and equipment

Rate: $42.00
Per diem (where applicable): $150.00
