CNC Operator - Millwork shop

Northern Star Millwork is seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our architectural millwork team. We manufacture and install custom commercial casework and millwork for hotels, healthcare facilities, restaurants, and other commercial projects throughout the United States.

Responsibilities:

Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machinery.
Load materials and verify dimensions before production.
Read shop drawings, cut lists, and production documents.
Perform tool changes and routine machine maintenance.
Inspect finished parts to ensure quality and accuracy.
Troubleshoot machine and program issues as needed.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Work closely with cabinet builders and production staff to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications:

Previous CNC operating experience preferred.
Experience in woodworking, cabinetry, or architectural millwork preferred.
Experience operating an edge bander is a plus.
Cabinet building and assembly experience is a plus.
Ability to read shop drawings and production documents.
Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
Ability to use measuring tools and maintain tight tolerances.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
