CNC Operator (Woodworking / Fabrication)

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled CNC Operator to join our fabrication team. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience operating CNC machines in a fast-paced production environment, preferably within woodworking, millwork, or trade show/event fabrication.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines (routers, mills, or similar equipment)
Read and interpret shop drawings, CAD files, and blueprints
Load materials and ensure proper machine calibration
Perform tool changes, machine maintenance, and basic troubleshooting
Inspect finished parts to ensure quality and accuracy
Collaborate with designers, project managers, and shop team
Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Qualifications

2+ years of CNC operating experience (woodworking preferred)
Experience with CNC routers (e.g., ShopBot, Biesse, Multicam, or similar)
Ability to read technical drawings and work with CAD/CAM files
Familiarity with materials such as plywood, MDF, hardwoods, laminates, etc.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on your feet

Preferred Skills

Experience with software such as AutoCAD, Fusion 360, or Aspire
Background in millwork, cabinetry, or trade show fabrication
Basic programming or toolpath setup knowledge
