Description
We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join our first-shift manufacturing team here On-Site from 6:45-3:15 M-F. This position is ideal for a skilled programmer who is comfortable working in a fast-paced job shop environment, where part types, materials, quantities, and machining requirements change frequently.
The CNC Programmer will be responsible for developing efficient, accurate CNC programs and machining strategies for a variety of precision components. The ideal candidate has strong machining knowledge, understands manufacturability and tooling, and can work effectively with machinists, engineering, quality, and production personnel.
Experience with Mastercam and/or Surfcam preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, modify, optimize, and troubleshoot CNC programs for precision-machined components.
- Review customer drawings, CAD models, specifications, tolerances, and other technical requirements.
- Develop machining strategies, toolpaths, setups, workholding concepts, and tooling requirements.
- Program CNC milling and/or turning equipment based on shop capabilities and production requirements.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and machining parameters.
- Optimize programs to improve cycle times, tool life, quality, and overall machining efficiency.
- Support machinists with program prove-outs, first-piece setups, troubleshooting, and process improvements.
- Identify potential manufacturability issues and communicate concerns before or during production.
- Make program adjustments based on inspection results, machine performance, or production feedback.
- Pay: $28-$40 / hour, based on experience and skill level
