CNC Programmer / Operator - Natural Stone & Tile Fabrication

D&J Tile is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Operator to join our state-of-the-art natural stone fabrication facility in San Carlos, CA.
Our shop produces complex architectural stone and tile work for some of the largest commercial and high-end residential projects throughout San Francisco, San Jose, and the Greater Bay Area.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced position requiring strong CNC programming skills, mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects through production.
Responsibilities

• Review and interpret fabrication cut tickets, shop drawings, and architectural plans
• Create slab layouts and optimize material usage
• Program and operate CNC waterjets, bridge saws, routers, polishing equipment, and other automated fabrication machinery
• Create and modify CNC programs using AutoCAD and AlphaCAM
• Coordinate fabrication sequencing and day-to-day production requirements
• Verify dimensions, profiles, edge details, cutouts, and other fabrication requirements prior to production
• Troubleshoot programming, tooling, and machine issues
• Perform routine machine maintenance and assist with equipment repairs
• Work closely with our fabrication, drafting, field, and project-management teams
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area

Qualifications
Required:

• Strong proficiency with AutoCAD 2026
• Experience with AlphaCAM or comparable CAM software
• Previous CNC programming and/or CNC machine-operation experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting ability
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and follow projects through completion
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced production environment
• Team-player attitude

Preferred:

• Natural stone, quartz, porcelain, or tile fabrication experience
• Experience reading architectural plans and shop drawings
• Knowledge of commercial construction methods and terminology
• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting industrial CNC equipment
• Bluebeam Revu or Acrobat pro experience

Compensation & Benefits
