Part-Time • Guaranteed 20–25 Hours Per Week • $30–$35 Per Hour
We own and professionally manage several commercial office buildings in the Metro Detroit area and are looking for an experienced maintenance professional to become a valued member of our team.
This is a long-term part-time position—not contract work, project work, or occasional handyman jobs.
If you enjoy fixing problems, keeping buildings looking their best, and taking pride in your work, we'd like to meet you.
About the Position:
This is a hands-on position where you'll work directly with ownership to keep our buildings safe, attractive, and well maintained.
Every day is different. Some days you'll replace a light fixture or repair a door. Other days you'll prepare a suite for a new tenant, complete preventative maintenance, or coordinate with outside contractors.
We are looking for someone who enjoys solving problems before they become expensive repairs.
Responsibilities:
Preventative maintenance
General building repairs
Minor plumbing repairs
Minor electrical repairs (switches, outlets, lighting, LED conversions)
Drywall repair and painting
Ceiling tile replacement
Door and lock adjustments
Basic carpentry
HVAC filter replacement and simple maintenance
Exterior inspections
Weather stripping and caulking
Replace signs and miscellaneous building hardware
Tenant service requests
Prepare vacant suites for leasing
Coordinate with licensed contractors when specialized work is needed
Keep maintenance records and report larger repair needs
Assist with seasonal property maintenance, including storm preparation and winter safety
Help maintain a professional appearance throughout each property
Qualifications:
Minimum five years of commercial or facilities maintenance experience preferred
Ability to work independently without constant supervision
Strong troubleshooting skills
Good mechanical aptitude
Honest, dependable and organized
Professional appearance
Friendly and respectful with tenants
Valid driver's license
Reliable transportation
Able to lift 50 pounds and work safely on ladders
Experience Preferred
