Commercial Carpet Installer Responsibilities & Duties
- Measure and cut carpet to fit specific spaces
- Prepare and clean surfaces for carpet installation
- Install carpet and padding using adhesives and tools
- Ensure a smooth and even installation with minimal visible seams
- Collaborate with other trades and contractors to complete projects on time and within budget
- Communicate with customers to understand their needs and ensure their satisfaction with the finished product
- Maintain tools, equipment, and workspace in a clean and organized manner
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety practices
- Familiarity with flooring and surface preparation materials and techniques
- 2+ years of experience in commercial carpet installation
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
