Commercial Construction Superintendent

COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT – $90K–$120K + COMPANY VEHICLE & BENEFITS

R3 Builders, Inc. is looking for an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to join our team.

Salary: $90,000–$120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a field leader someone who takes ownership of the jobsite, plans ahead, drives the schedule, coordinates subcontractors, solves problems, and gets the project across the finish line.

This is not a position for someone who simply monitors the job. We need a Superintendent who understands commercial construction and knows how to run the field

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 3+ years of commercial construction Superintendent experience
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction means, methods, sequencing, and trade coordination
• Ability to read and understand architectural and MEP plans and specifications
• Experience managing subcontractors and holding trades accountable to the project schedule
• Experience coordinating inspections and working with building departments
• Strong understanding of quality control and jobsite safety
• Ability to maintain daily reports, photos, manpower tracking, and project documentation
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable using construction technology and project management software
• Procore experience is strongly preferred**
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required for company vehicle
• Ability and willingness to travel to project locations throughout California as needed

We are interested in Superintendents with experience managing commercial construction projects of all types particularly:

• Restaurants
• Retail
• Grocery
• Office
• Medical
• Tenant Improvements

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be responsible for the day-to-day field operations of your assigned projects, including:

• Managing subcontractors and field personnel
• Driving the project schedule
• Planning upcoming work and maintaining look-ahead schedules
• Coordinating inspections
• Reviewing drawings, RFIs, submittals, and field conditions
• Identifying problems early and working with the Project Manager to resolve them
• Maintaining jobsite safety, cleanliness, and quality
• Documenting daily progress in Procore
• Communicating manpower, schedule, inspection, and field issues to the project team
• Managing punch lists and project closeout
• Maintaining a professional relationship with clients, architects, inspectors, subcontractors, and project stakeholders
