Commercial Door Installers/General Labor

Perfect Margin Door Company is seeking experienced commercial door installers and warehouse/general labor personnel for intermittent, project-based work on local commercial construction projects, including the Bakersfield Student Housing Project and other jobs throughout the Bakersfield area.

We are looking for dependable, safety-conscious professionals who take pride in producing high-quality work and can represent our company professionally on the jobsite.

Commercial Door Installer Responsibilities

• Install hollow metal, wood, and aluminum doors and frames.
• Install commercial finish hardware, exit devices, door closers, weatherstripping, and related products.
• Read and interpret plans, shop drawings, and hardware schedules when required.
• Work efficiently with project supervisors and fellow installers to meet project schedules.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Report daily progress, productivity, and any field issues.
• Care for company equipment, tools, and materials.

General Labor Responsibilities

• Receive, organize, stock, and stage materials for upcoming projects.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Assist with inventory organization and warehouse maintenance.
• Deliver materials to local jobsites as needed.
• Assist installation crews when required.

Qualifications

• Previous commercial door, frame, and hardware installation experience is strongly preferred for installer positions.
• Mechanical aptitude and construction experience preferred for warehouse/general labor positions.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and safety-minded.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a professional team.
• Comfortable using text messaging and email for daily communication.

Compensation

Compensation is competitive and based on:

• Commercial door and hardware installation experience
• Knowledge and skill level
• Personal tool inventory (installer positions)
• Overall qualifications
