Full-Time | Field/On-Site | Reports to: Project Manager / Superintendent
Job Summary
We are is seeking an experienced Commercial Electrical Foreman to lead electrical installation crews on commercial construction projects. The Foreman is responsible for on-site supervision, quality control, scheduling, and safety compliance, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to code. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong technical knowledge of commercial electrical systems and the ability to manage crews, coordinate with project management, and communicate effectively with subcontractors, inspectors, and clients.
Key Responsibilities
· Supervise and direct a crew of electricians and apprentices on commercial job sites, assigning daily tasks and monitoring productivity.
· Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and specifications to plan and execute installations.
· Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes, and Triple M Electric quality standards.
· Coordinate material, tool, and equipment needs with the project manager and warehouse to keep the job on schedule.
· Conduct weekly safety briefings (toolbox talks) and enforce OSHA and company safety policies on-site.
· Track daily progress, labor hours, and job costs; communicate delays or issues to the project manager promptly.
· Perform quality inspections of installed work and coordinate corrections before inspections or walkthroughs.
· Liaise with general contractors, other trades, and inspectors to resolve field conflicts and maintain project flow.
· Train, mentor, and evaluate crew members, including apprentices, supporting their development and code knowledge.
· Maintain accurate daily reports, timesheets, and as-built documentation.
· Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in the field, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems.
Qualifications & Requirements
· 5+ years of commercial electrical experience, including at least 2 years in a lead or foreman role.
· Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and commercial construction practices.
· OSHA 10 certification required; OSHA 30 preferred.
· Proven ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
· Experience with panel installations, feeders, conduit runs, lighting, and low-voltage control systems.
· Strong leadership, scheduling, and communication skills.
· Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
· Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
