COMMERCIAL ELECTRICAL FOREMEN & MECHANICS
Cioffi Electric is hiring experienced Commercial Electrical Foremen and Electrical Mechanics for full-time work on commercial and industrial projects throughout New Jersey.
We are an established electrical contractor with more than 35 years in business. We provide steady work, a professional working environment, well-maintained tools and equipment, and the opportunity to work on a wide variety of commercial projects.
PAY:
- Electrical Foremen: $38–$48 per hour, based on experience and ability
- Electrical Mechanics / Experienced Commercial Electricians: $28-$38 per hour

Employees report directly to the jobsite. Most projects are located in Central and North Jersey, with occasional projects in South Jersey.
OUR PROJECTS INCLUDE:
- Ground-up commercial construction
- Renovations and office fit-outs
- Warehouses and freezer buildings
- Hotels
- Medical offices and healthcare facilities
- Hospitals and surgical suites
- Laboratories
- Senior-living facilities
- Commercial and industrial service work
- Lay out and supervise commercial electrical installations
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, plans and specifications
- Direct electricians, mechanics and apprentices
- Plan manpower, materials and daily work activities
- Coordinate with project managers, general contractors and other trades
- Maintain jobsite safety, quality and productivity
- Track progress and communicate jobsite issues
- Manage projects from layout through completion
Qualified mechanics should have commercial or industrial experience with:
- Electrical services and panel installations
- EMT, rigid conduit and raceway systems
- Branch circuits, feeders and equipment connections
- Lighting fixtures and lighting controls
- Site and exterior lighting
- Fire alarm and access control systems
- Generator installations
- Reading electrical drawings
- Troubleshooting and renovation work
- Commercial or industrial electrical experience
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work safely and professionally
- Ability to work independently and as part of a crew
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Foreman applicants must have prior leadership or supervisory experience
