Commercial Electricians

Knutec LLC, an established electrical contractor operating throughout the United States, is seeking experienced Commercial Journeyman Electricians for a major industrial construction project at Boeing South Carolina in North Charleston.

We are looking for dependable, skilled electricians who can work independently, understand commercial electrical drawings, and install professional-quality conduit and raceway systems in a demanding industrial construction environment.

The primary responsibility of this position is installing dedicated conduit runs from point to point for building automation controls and associated mechanical equipment throughout the facility.

This is a hands-on installation position, not a supervisory or electrical maintenance role.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lay out, measure, bend, and install EMT and other specified electrical conduit systems.
• Install dedicated conduit runs between designated equipment locations, junction boxes, control panels, and other identified endpoints.
• Install conduit supports, strut, hangers, brackets, junction boxes, pull boxes, fittings, and associated mounting hardware.
• Interpret electrical drawings, construction documents, equipment layouts, and installation specifications.
• Perform accurate offsets, saddles, kicks, and other conduit bends.
• Coordinate installation routes with mechanical, HVAC, structural, and other construction trades.
• Install raceways in overhead spaces, equipment areas, mechanical rooms, and other designated building locations.
• Maintain proper conduit alignment, support spacing, accessibility, and workmanship.
• Identify installation conflicts and communicate necessary field adjustments to supervision.
• Follow applicable NEC requirements, project specifications, and site safety procedures.
• Work safely from ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts as authorized and required.

This assignment is specifically focused on conduit and raceway installation. Routine wire pulling, electrical terminations, controls programming, and equipment commissioning are not part of the assigned scope.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 4 years of relevant commercial or industrial electrical construction experience preferred, with demonstrated journeyman-level proficiency.
• Extensive hands-on experience installing EMT and other commercial conduit systems.
• Ability to independently lay out and install conduit runs from drawings and field instructions.
• Strong understanding of electrical construction practices and applicable NEC requirements.
• Ability to safely operate conduit benders, power tools, and related installation equipment.
• Ability to work effectively with a crew while maintaining productivity and installation quality.
• Familiarity with industrial construction safety requirements and procedures.
• Ability to perform the essential physical duties of construction work, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Reliable attendance and ability to meet applicable project-site access requirements.

OSHA training, lift certifications, and prior experience in major industrial facilities are preferred.

COMPENSATION AND PROJECT CONDITIONS

• Competitive hourly compensation based on demonstrated qualifications.
• Overtime compensation in accordance with applicable law.
• Company-provided project lodging when applicable and authorized.
• $50 daily meal per diem when qualifying overnight business travel is required.
• Full-time, on-site project assignment.
• Overtime and work schedules determined by project requirements.
• Local and traveling electricians are encouraged to apply.

Project work is currently anticipated to continue into the second quarter of 2027, subject to construction schedules and project requirements. Continued assignments depend on available company work and business needs.
