Description

COMMERCIAL HVAC SERVICE TECHNICIAN – VRF/VAV

NOW HIRING: EXPERIENCED COMMERCIAL HVAC TECHNICIAN

We are seeking a skilled Commercial HVAC Service Technician with hands-on experience troubleshooting and servicing VRF/VRV and VAV systems.

This is a long-term career opportunity with an established, growing company that invests in its technicians. You’ll work with state-of-the-art HVAC technology while receiving ongoing training, technical support, and opportunities to advance into senior technician, lead, or leadership positions.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Stellar compensation based on experience
  • Outstanding benefits package
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match
  • Ongoing factory and manufacturer training
  • Strong technical and field support
  • State-of-the-art tools, equipment, and technology
  • Steady, long-term commercial work
  • Career advancement and leadership opportunities
  • Supportive, team-oriented company culture
  • Additional benefits and incentives
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Diagnose, service, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems
  • Troubleshoot VRF/VRV systems, VAV boxes, controls, and related equipment
  • Work with heat-pump and heat-recovery VRF systems
  • Diagnose electrical, refrigerant, airflow, controls, and communication problems
  • Service electronic expansion valves, branch controllers, sensors, actuators, dampers, and reheat systems
  • Use manufacturer diagnostic software and service tools
  • Navigate building automation systems and review system operating data
  • Read wiring diagrams, refrigerant piping diagrams, and sequences of operation
  • Perform leak detection, refrigerant recovery, pressure testing, evacuation, charging, and system startup
  • Clearly document diagnostic findings, readings, repairs, and recommendations
  • Communicate professionally with customers, facility managers, and other team members
  • Follow company safety standards and proper refrigerant-handling procedures
IDEAL EXPERIENCE

  • Five or more years of commercial HVAC service experience preferred
  • Two or more years of direct VRF/VRV troubleshooting experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with manufacturers such as Daikin VRV, Mitsubishi CITY MULTI, LG Multi V, Samsung DVM, or comparable systems
  • Experience diagnosing and servicing commercial VAV systems
  • Working knowledge of airflow, static pressure, dampers, airflow sensors, actuators, and hot-water or electric reheat
  • Experience with commercial controls or building automation systems
  • Strong electrical and controls troubleshooting ability
  • Ability to diagnose problems systematically instead of simply replacing parts
  • Experience using manufacturer diagnostic software is highly desirable
  • EPA Universal Certification preferred
  • Manufacturer training or certifications are a plus
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We want a dependable, professional technician who takes pride in solving difficult problems. The right person understands how commercial HVAC systems work as a whole and can determine whether a problem is mechanical, electrical, refrigerant-related, airflow-related, or controls-related.

You should be comfortable working independently while also knowing when to collaborate with the team or manufacturer technical support. Strong communication, professional service, accurate documentation, and follow-through are essential.

This is not an entry-level HVAC position. We are looking for a technician with real commercial service and diagnostic experience who wants to continue learning and grow with a quality organization.
