HVAC Service Technician

We specialize in commercial retail, veterinary and warehouse locations, meaning no calls at 2 or 3 in the morning. We do not do resturants hotside or coldside. We are proud of our quick response time to emergency service calls and the ability to minimize machine downtime and being a resource to solve customer climate issues. Merit Services is a home. Benefits: 2 weeks PTO(increasing with years of service), Sick time is accrued per week, up to 52 hrs/year and available as soon as it accrues, 401K with a matching scale. Techs clock in time starts when they leave their homes to go to the job. All vehicles are 2017 or newer GMC/Chevy trucks and vans. On call in peak months is split between 2 techs. Overview: Responsible for the service, maintenance, repair and change out of HVAC systems utilizing knowledge of refrigerant cycle, electrical schematics, pneumatic and electronic control systems, brazing, and mechanical layouts.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for servicing products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction. Performs repairs, overhauls, and start-ups of commercial HVAC systems
Uses a variety of hand tools, power tools, wiring diagrams, to diagnose and repair units. Performs preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacement, and modifications as needed or requested by customers.
