Commercial Journeyman Electricians (non apprentice)

NOW HIRING: JOURNEYMAN ELECTRICIANS

Are you an experienced Journeyman Electrician with strong commercial electrical skills? CCS Construction staffing is looking for qualified electricians who can work independently, understand electrical codes, and perform quality electrical installations.

Responsibilities:
-Install, bend, and run EMT and other electrical conduit.
-Pull, route, and terminate electrical wiring.
-Install and connect electrical panels, breakers, junction boxes, and switches.
-Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
-Install and troubleshoot 3-way switches and electrical circuits.
-Calculate amperage, voltage, wattage, and conductor sizing.
-Identify proper wire color coding for 120V and 277V systems.
-Follow conduit fill, conductor derating, bending, and installation requirements.
-Install MC cable and secure it according to applicable requirements.
-Troubleshoot electrical issues using electrical testing equipment.
-Follow NEC requirements and maintain a safe work environment.

Qualifications:

-Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician in commercial electrical construction.
-Strong knowledge of electrical theory, Ohm’s Law, and basic electrical calculations.
-Ability to bend conduit accurately and understand conduit offsets and bend deductions.
-Familiarity with 120V and 277V circuits, three-phase systems, breakers, and conductors.
-Ability to read electrical plans and complete installations with minimal supervision.
-Strong understanding of electrical safety and applicable electrical codes.
-Candidates should be prepared to demonstrate their knowledge of conduit installation, conductor sizing, wire color coding, circuit calculations, and electrical troubleshooting during the screening process.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 5AM start time
