We are an established, growing commercial kitchen exhaust cleaning company seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and experienced Lead Hood Cleaning Technician.
In this position, you will lead a two-person field crew servicing commercial kitchens, restaurants, and facilities across the Valley. This is a critical role responsible for ensuring complete compliance with NFPA 96 standards, executing high-pressure washing operations, and delivering top-tier service to our commercial clients.
*Night shift (8pm - 6am range)
*Sunday night - Thursday night
*Must pass a background check NO FELONIES
*Must pass a drug test
*Must reside in the East Valley (Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, Queen Creek, Apache Junction)
*Must have a valid drivers license
Key Responsibilities:
Lead night-shift service calls to clean commercial exhaust systems (hoods, ducts, filters, and roof fans) to bare metal.
Operate hot-water pressure washers, chemical application systems, and specialized cleaning/scraping equipment safely and efficiently.
Perform thorough pre- and post-cleaning inspections; document job completion with clear digital photos and system reports.
Safely manage rooftop equipment, access panels, and chemical handling protocols.
Maintain equipment, supply inventory, and the service van in professional working condition.
Communicate effectively with client contacts on-site when required.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Lead Tech in commercial kitchen exhaust/hood cleaning (required).
Knowledge of NFPA 96 codes and proper scraping/degreasing techniques.
Must possess a valid Driver’s License with a clean, insurable driving record.
Comfort working at heights (ladders and rooftops) and in tight/confined spaces.
Ability to work primarily night shifts (typically starting late afternoon/evening) and handle physical labor.
Strong leadership skills, punctuality, and pride in workmanship.
