Commercial Painter / Decorative Finishing Assistant

We are seeking an experienced commercial painter to join our team full-time or part-time for ongoing decorative wall finishing projects throughout New York City. Starting as soon as Monday, 9/21!

Ideal candidates have a strong background in professional interior painting and surface preparation, with some experience or interest in decorative finishes, Venetian plaster, limewash, or similar hand-applied finishes.

Responsibilities include surface preparation, masking and protection, painting, sanding, mixing materials, assisting with decorative plaster applications, and maintaining a clean and professional jobsite. Tools provided.

Qualifications:

Professional commercial or residential painting experience

Technically and artfully skilled
Strong prep, rolling, brushing, sanding, and finishing skills
Decorative painting/plaster experience is a plus
Comfortable working on ladders and active construction sites
OSHA Cert is a plus
Detail-oriented and able to follow samples and application instructions
Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working as part of a small team
Able to travel to job sites throughout NYC

This is a great opportunity for an experienced painter or artist looking to expand their skills into high-end decorative and specialty wall finishes. You will also have the opportunity to see many different parts of NY.
