Commercial Painter & Foreman

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Painter & Foreman to lead painting projects across various commercial and industrial sites across Ohio.

In this role, you will oversee the execution of painting tasks, coordinate with team members, ensure safety compliance, and deliver high-quality finishes that meet client specifications.

Your expertise in surface preparation, coating application, and project management will drive successful project completion while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise painting crews on commercial and industrial sites, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards
Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and color schemes to execute precise paint applications
Prepare surfaces thoroughly through sanding, scraping, caulking, drywall repair, plastering, and other surface preparation techniques
Apply coatings using various methods including brush painting, roller painting, spray painting (conventional and airless), and construction spray painting equipment
Ensure compliance with safety regulations by enforcing proper use of respiratory protection, harnesses, ladders, power tools, and other safety gear
Manage on-site logistics such as material ordering, inventory control, and maintain a clean, safe and organized work space
Conduct visual color comparisons to achieve desired aesthetic outcomes while maintaining safety protocol adherence throughout all operations
Lead and manage multiple work sites
Use software programs to track job progress
Attend meetings as required
Act as liaison between crews and clients
Communicate with leadership daily
Travelling to multiple job sites daily

Requirements

Proven experience in commercial painting with a strong background in construction site environments
Skilled in surface preparation techniques and various types of coatings
Proficient with hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including airless systems), brushes, rollers, and other relevant equipment
Knowledge of construction estimating processes and interpreting technical drawings or blueprints
Familiarity with safety regulations related to construction painting projects; committed to maintaining a safe work environment through proper use of respiratory protection and safety protocols
Ability to lead teams effectively while managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced setting
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to coating coverage and surface dimensions
Additional skills such as being proficient in Spanish are considered advantageous
