POSITION: Commercial Pipefitter

PAY: up to $28-$32/hour

PRST is hiring a Commercial Pipefitter to support a General Contractor at a hospital in the Cypress area. In this role, you’ll earn $31 to $33 an hour, enjoy weekly pay and health insurance benefits. Responsibilities:

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 hrs./day, 6:00 am start, OT as needed, estimated 2-10 hrs./wk.
Study blueprints/schematics, and plan pipe routes for rough-in.
Rough-in phase, installing both underground/infrastructure and wall piping, drainage, and vents.
Cut, bend, thread, and shape PVC, PEX, and Copper pipes to required specifications using various tools
Join copper pipes by soldering, install supports, brackets, and hangers, and connect to equipment.
Perform pressure tests (hydrostatic), check for leaks, and inspect systems for functionality and safety.
Make necessary modifications to accommodate unforeseen conditions along with any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Follow all safety procedure and protocol per state and federal guidelines.

Pay:

Pay rate is $31-$33

Depending on years of experience

Requirements:

Be at least 18 years of age

OSHA-10 Certification REQUIRED
3 years verifiable experience doing commercial pipefitting.
3 years verifiable experience working with PVC, CPVC, PEX, and Copper pipe Required.
Must be comfortable working out of manlifts and scissor lifts
Must be comfortable with soldering copper pipes
Ability to stand, bend, kneel and walk for extended periods throughout the day with or without reasonable accommodation
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
Position does REQUIRE a drug screen
