12 Openings | Full-Time | Commercial Construction | Up to $40/hr | Overtime Available

We are hiring experienced Commercial Pipefitters, Copper Mechanics, Welding Mechanics and Lead Mechanics for commercial construction projects.

These are hands-on field positions for experienced mechanical tradespeople with backgrounds in commercial HVAC piping, hydronic piping, copper piping, pipefitting and welding.

We have opportunities ranging from experienced Pipefitters to Lead Mechanics capable of running a crew.

Current Openings

Lead Welding Mechanics – 2 Openings

Pay: Up to $40/hour

Approximately 10 years of relevant mechanical/piping experience
Strong commercial mechanical experience
Must be able to lead and run a crew of at least 6 people
Must be able to read prints, drawings and submittals
Fitter or welder background accepted
Experience with commercial HVAC/mechanical piping systems
Must pass a 6G welding test/certification
Lead Copper Mechanics – 4 Openings

Pay: Up to $36/hour

2–5+ years of commercial piping experience
Candidates with closer to 5 years of experience preferred
Strong copper piping experience
Experience with brazing and soldering
Ability to read mechanical prints and drawings
Commercial HVAC/mechanical piping experience
Previous experience directing helpers or mechanics preferred
Commercial Pipefitters / Mechanics – 6 Openings

Pay: Up to $30/hour

Commercial pipefitting or mechanical experience

Copper or welding backgrounds accepted
Experience installing commercial piping systems
Ability to read plans and follow layouts
Experience with HVAC/mechanical piping strongly preferred
Schedule
Monday–Friday
Start time between 6:00–7:00 AM
8–10 hours per day
Currently averaging approximately 48 hours per week
Overtime and occasional weekend work may be available or required depending on project needs
What You'll Be Doing
Install commercial HVAC and mechanical piping systems.
Lay out, fit, fabricate and install piping from mechanical drawings and specifications.
Install copper, carbon steel, black iron, stainless steel and other piping materials.
Braze and solder copper piping.
Install piping using grooved/Victaulic, threaded, flanged and press-fit systems.
Perform TIG, MIG and/or ARC welding as required.
Install and connect commercial hydronic systems and equipment including boilers, chillers, cooling towers, pumps and related components.
Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, specifications and submittals.
Measure and determine materials needed to complete assigned work.
Coordinate work with other trades on active commercial construction sites.
Follow all jobsite safety requirements and proper installation practices.
Work from ladders, scissor lifts and other construction equipment as required.
Lead Mechanic Responsibilities

Lead candidates will also be responsible for:

Leading and directing field crews.

Assigning daily work and coordinating manpower.
Keeping crews productive and projects moving.
Coordinating materials, tools and equipment.
Reading prints and submittals and communicating work requirements to the crew.
Monitoring workmanship and ensuring installations meet project specifications.
Identifying and resolving field issues.
Training and mentoring mechanics and helpers.
Maintaining a safe and organized jobsite.
What We're Looking For
Commercial construction experience in pipefitting, mechanical piping, copper piping, hydronics and/or welding.
Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and plans.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Ability to work independently and as part of a field crew.
Reliable attendance and ability to work the required schedule.
Ability to work safely in an active commercial construction environment.
Valid driver's license.
Physical Requirements

This is a hands-on construction position. Candidates must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, climb, kneel, squat and reach; work from ladders and lifts; frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs.; and work in varying indoor and outdoor jobsite conditions.
