Commercial Plumber / Multi-Trade Construction Worker – Full-Time

Rake Building Solutions, Inc. is a general contractor specializing in commercial and industrial tenant improvements, remodels, repairs, and renovations throughout Orange County and Los Angeles.

We are hiring an experienced Commercial Plumber for a full-time, permanent position. Plumbing will be the employee’s primary trade; however, plumbing work may not be scheduled every day.

To help provide consistent hours, the person hired must be willing to assist with painting, drywall, demolition, material handling, general labor, jobsite cleanup, and other commercial construction work when plumbing-specific work is unavailable.

This position is ideal for a skilled plumber who is dependable, versatile, and comfortable helping wherever the project needs support.

Primary Plumbing Duties

Diagnose and complete commercial plumbing repairs

Repair and replace water lines, drain lines, valves, and related components
Install and replace sinks, faucets, toilets, fixtures, and plumbing hardware
Cut, fit, and connect copper, PVC, ABS, and other common plumbing materials
Sweat copper and perform plumbing demolition, rough-in, and finish work
Identify plumbing problems and communicate needed repairs
Read plans, specifications, and field measurements when required
Coordinate work with project managers, subcontractors, facility personnel, and other trades
Protect surrounding areas and leave completed work clean and professional

Additional Construction Work

When plumbing work is limited, you must be willing to assist with:

Interior and exterior painting, preparation, masking, and touch-ups
Drywall installation, patching, taping, mudding, and sanding
Light demolition and general tenant-improvement work
Moving, loading, unloading, and organizing materials
Punch-list repairs and general construction labor
Daily and final jobsite cleanup

Qualifications and Requirements

Prior professional plumbing and construction experience

Commercial plumbing experience strongly preferred
Knowledge of water lines, drain lines, fixtures, valves, and plumbing repairs
Ability to troubleshoot and work with limited supervision
Willingness to perform other trades and general construction duties as needed
Ability to work independently and with employees or subcontractors
Strong communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
Must have personal tools appropriate for the position
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Location and Schedule

Projects are primarily located throughout Orange County and Los Angeles County, with occasional work in other Southern California areas.

Our normal schedule is generally Monday through Friday during daytime hours. Some projects may require after-hours, overnight, or weekend work depending on client and project needs.
