COMMERCIAL ROOFING SERVICE & REPAIR TECHNICIAN
$25–$35/HOUR BASED ON EXPERIENCE & DEMONSTRATED ABILITY

Ingram Roofing is looking for an experienced Commercial Roofing Service & Repair Technician to join our team.

This is primarily a SERVICE AND REPAIR position. We are looking for someone who understands roofing, can investigate a problem, determine where a leak or failure is coming from, and make the appropriate repair.

If you are the person who can get on a roof, assess the situation, troubleshoot the problem, and figure out how to fix it correctly, we want to talk with you.

PAY & POSITION

• $25–$35 per hour based on experience and demonstrated ability
• Full-time position

We will pay for ability. An experienced service technician who can independently troubleshoot leaks, identify the actual source of a roofing problem, determine the proper repair, and complete quality work will be considered toward the higher end of the pay range.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Respond to commercial roofing service and repair calls
• Inspect roofs and troubleshoot leaks and water intrusion
• Identify the source of roofing problems rather than simply treating the visible symptom
• Determine appropriate repair methods
• Perform commercial roof repairs and preventative maintenance
• Repair seams, flashing, penetrations, curbs, drains, transitions, and other common problem areas
• Perform caulking, sealing, patching, and waterproofing repairs
• Complete smaller service and repair jobs independently or as part of a team
• Inspect existing roof conditions and identify areas requiring attention
• Document conditions found and repairs performed
• Communicate clearly with customers, property representatives, and our team
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Follow company procedures and safe roofing practices

ROOFING EXPERIENCE

Commercial roofing experience is preferred.

Hands-on experience or knowledge of any of the following is a plus:

• EPDM roofing systems
• TPO roofing systems
• Asphalt roofing
• Low-slope commercial roofing
• Roof coating systems
• Torch-down roofing
• Leak detection and troubleshooting
• Flashing repairs
• Sheet-metal details
• Caulking and sealants
• Roof penetrations and curbs
• Roof drains and drainage-related issues
• Roof maintenance and preventative repairs
• General waterproofing

You do NOT need to be an expert in every roofing system listed above.

No specific roofing certification is required.

We are more interested in practical experience, mechanical ability, troubleshooting skills, quality workmanship, and your ability to solve roofing problems in the field.

WHO WE REALLY WANT

We are looking for more than someone who has simply worked on a roofing crew.

A strong candidate understands that finding a roof leak often requires investigation and problem solving. The place where water appears inside a building is not necessarily where it entered the roofing system.

We want someone who will take the time to investigate the problem, look at the entire situation, identify the likely source, determine the appropriate repair, complete the work properly, and communicate what was found.
